Hey everyone., to live and die in LA, i watched it yesterday. brilliant film for the over-produced 80's...anyways...just wanted to let you know how things are progressing. AS EVER, the new project is in the works and the label game is still afoot, we will let you know when i decide to commit. My latest labor of love is the new poetry book and the finishing of the EP. Randy and i have been talking about putting out a limited edition EP with new songs available only at Live shows this summer... i would love to sell these online but i believe it would impede sales of the actual full length project, but i do want to release these songs to you as soon as possible they have been recorded, mixed and mastered for the past 9 months....i dont like anything to sit on the shelf for too long,,,also a new side project is in the works through a independent label and i will be talking about it more in length when i have the final go-ahead from the label...i am excited about this time of inspiration and hope you get as much out of them as i have had creating....see you in a theater in a town that is somewhere near you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just wanted to see if everyone out there could really support Mel Gibson's THE PASSION OF CHRIST. I had the privilege of screening the film in LA with Mel himself and a few others. This film could be the greatest film about the Story of Jesus that i have seen, and that is not saying much. I really appreciated Jesus Of Nazareth by Franco Zeffirelli and of course the much debated oddball of Scorsese's LTOC, but nothing has been released to depict the haunting revelation of Christ's ultimate suffering and endurance. Please Take Everyone You Know to see this film it is a worthwhile experience. It is cathartic and moving and will leave you with a bit more understanding of the pain and the passion. Much love Kevin Ma

just wanted to say how impressed i was with the final product....what a movie...it is by far that best screenplay, acting and cinematic experience i have had in a long time....Mel deserves all the respect for going out on a limb and making the best film on Christ yet...i told my friends after watching it that i believe he was the perfect director for this kind of film....he has a handle on what passion feels like and looks like....somebody a bit more avant garde would have missed the point....BTW myself my friend and your own BBG got some camera time with inside edition and the LA Weekly, was a great experience, hope you all get to see it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
hope you all are well....i am just up this morning, can you believe it is before noon and i am up and about my day. I have a long, daunting day of business ahead of me but i am visiting the Westminster abbey as well as the Tate and Tate modern today, then a stop by Paul Smith Westbourne house in Nottinghill and then a final turn and a re-visit to my fave gastro-pub on Rose st. the Lamb and Flag....which used to be the Bucket of Blood...little did you know that there is a history of bare Knuckled boxing champs in my family tree...so i feel quite at home there....haha...well for a little guy i need to impress you with whatever i can...savvy?....i am meeting with writers and record companies and further ensconcing myself in the British music scene....i will let you all know the latest...i am also having lunch tommorow with none other than John Kalodner in Chelsea....he is my new favorite music guru and his taken me safely under his wings for the time being (note to self and others)-"taken safely under the wings of any music mogul can be dangerous for one's health and self esteem but we must trust someone"....thank you for your prayers and i look forward to being near a theater..peace KMAX ps. if any of you want to read an interesting book i just picked up NEVERWHERE....wonderful read. its a bit fantasy and a bit London underground adventure story, like ALice in wonderland meets PARADIS LOST.Back to top

STRANDED 72.5- written by KMAX/C.Barlow 2003

I've hit the earth a hundred times
and still i haven't found the right
to live with myself
and do it without fright

we live the moment out all day
we touch the vibe and give it space
but still we dance in abstract
loss of grace

and if you believe in something
even if your feeling nothing

and everyone of us are trying so hard to get by
and everyone of us are stranded 72.5
and i look into your eyes for one last time
and i look into your eyes because your mine

your ghostly dress
your pirouettes
your face like pearl all luminous
the number on your wrist a 666

as tower's bend and stars burn out
and churches fall without a doubt
i need you here beside me
paramount

and please believe in someone
even if your feeling no-one

repeat chorus- Because your mine.

Sing it KMAX!

update from EBC:
2.10.03

well, this is for random bits of info that some will find cool , others very boring

we finished another new song yesterday called "bonafied boneapart"...
(or however you spell it , as in the french last name!) it's a lot of fun...thanks for everyone who could come to the slow bar, we had a lot of fun playing the new stuff! *a little nervous though*we are at about 20 songs now, and still writing....

hope everyone is warm and happy!

Smile!

My friend Adam and I went to Nashvegas for the Bongo Java After Hours Theater April 5, 2003 to catch KMAX, EBC and friends... full review and pictures I also saw Toby Mac at the House of Blues here in Chicago. Silly TMAC had to skip out on the signing! Ahh... just reminds me why I love KMAX.
